What is gentle parenting and how will it help my family?

An introduction into the empathetic approach to parenting, detailing how you can guild and teach your children to become the best version of themselves by using the 4 pillars of...

The aim is always to get your family working as a team and reduce day to day conflict. Together we will make an action plan to help you be the harmonious and happy parent you and your family dream of.

How to make limited time quality time?

Every parent wants to spend all day with their children but the reality is that most have to work outside the house.  Rush to pick up the kids, rush to make dinner, rush to do the chores and feel like there are not enough hours in the day to connect to their child in the positive and meaningful way they want.

Let me show you how to use the limited time to connect and build a lasting bond with your child. Their world is play, and without getting into their world you will not build that bond but their world and your world can come together. It's vital that your child has the opportunity for meaningful interaction in the mundane day to day, not only at weekends and holidays when there is more time. Making it fun can reduce your stress and parent guilt too.

Sibling Rivalry

Bringing a new baby home is the happiest day, but it can become difficult when an older sibling experiences jealousy. This is particularly difficult if the sibling is not old enough to properly explain what they feel and how it affects them. I can help smooth the transition by showing you how to make the sibling feel that there is still as important, even when you are busy feeding the new baby.

I will focus on helping you meet the older siblings needs first and using language that never puts blame on baby for any discomfort felt by the older sibling. Getting the family bonding as a unit to ensure everyone's needs are met.

Teaching Emotions

Teaching a young child to recognise and name emotions can be tricky.

Often this is not something we were taught so finding the words can feel uncomfortable.

In this session I will teach you how to explain what each emotion is and recognise the signs in the body and what behaviours can be associated with the emotion. Then help you work out strategies to deal with these emotions that meet the personality of your little one.
